About Me

~F

hmmm this is difficult… introducing myself has always been one of the toughest things to do and imagine I was a corporate trainer for years; there were loads of introductions :)

I’m not a regular blogger :D because a lot of times I rather spend time traveling with my Photographer Husband or playing with my three dogs. Though I am consciously trying to get regular with my blogging.

My Family

Oh yes! You heard right – Three!!

My Trio

Cuckoo

I love traveling, biking and usually manage to combine the two… I dream of seeing India completely someday… though its gonna be difficult in one lifetime.

I live in Bangalore, India and love this city. Miss the Old Bangalore I grew up in so much in this concrete jungle.

When not online (which is a lot of time) I’m a biker, bibliophile, traveller, DIY person and imagineer. And my blog is about all of that – my travels, the books I’ve read, stuff I’m trying to cook, things I’ve made, my dogs, and everything else that might happen in my life.

Book Reviews and a Sort-of Policy

I spend most of my time reading (anything I can lay my hands on) and it’s rare to find me without a book near-by. Now that I have a Kindle and iPad too I tend to read a lot more. I read just about anything if I like it and I’ve moved around genres a fair bit over the years based on my mood and life situation. Some of the genres I’ve read over the years are Children, Animals, Biographies and Autobiographies, Business, Chick lit, Classics, Craft, Crime fiction, Fantasy, Historical fiction, History, Paranormal romance, Romance, and Sci-fi.

I have recently started reviewing the books I read on my blog (almost all of them) and though I’m not a great book critique yet, I take being a critique quite seriously.

Like Anton Ego says in Ratatouille:
“In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.”

So I’m truthful about my reviews, I say it as I see it and feel it. I am nice about it though, no reason to be rude about what ‘I’ don’t like. :-)  I do have affiliate links on my blog for books and products I review, so if you decide to buy a book based on my opinion please click on the link on my post. I’d be happy to make some money :D

If you are an author and would like me to review your book, please drop me a message on Facebook or Twitter. You can take a look at my past book reviews and also the genres I read above. If your book isn’t in the above genres but you still think I would like it please do get in touch with me. I don’t promise to read every book (my to read list is amazingly long) but I will get back to you if I find your book interesting. I don’t have a set timeline for finishing a book or review but I promise to read your book as soon as I can.

I’ve been reading a lot work from Indian Authors lately (they’ve gotten much better), and would like to help as much as I can, so if you are an Indian Author or have a book set in India, please get in touch with me.
